Don’t fall victim to fraudsters

We have become aware of fraudsters contacting residents to offer help in reclaiming council tax, housing rent or other payments paid by Direct Debit.

There are many ways you can pay your council tax.

Direct Debit

Direct Debit - the safe, quick and easy way to pay, with a full guarantee against errors.

Online with a debit/credit card

Customers can make online bill payments in a safe and secure environment. If you have a debit or credit card you can pay your bill via the Council's online payment system.

By phone with a debit/credit card

Just ring CallPay on 0300 555 7000 (for quality and training purposes calls may be recorded and monitored) when a payment is due. Please have your account number and debit or credit card ready when calling.

Home/Telephone Banking

Just call your bank and quote:

  • Account Name: DMBC – Instalments
  • Bank: Lloyds Bank, 63 High Street, Dudley, West Midlands
  • Sort Code: 30-80-77
  • Account Number: 18346660

A reference must be also be quoted so we can identify you. This will be your Council Tax account reference, (8 digit number starting with 5 or a 6 as shown on your bill), prefixed with 09.

In Person

Paying by 12 Monthly Instalments

You now have the option to pay your council tax over 12 instalments rather than the usual 10.

The number of instalments you will get depends on when you register to extend your payments.

Or call 0300 555 8000 between 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (for quality and training purposes calls may be recorded and monitored).

Once requested, you will be given 12 monthly instalments for future financial years unless you tell us otherwise.
