Partnerships and Campaigns

Partnerships

We work in partnership with other areas of the council and local agencies such as Social Services, Housing Department, The Department for Work and Pensions and Citizens Advice Bureau. These issues addressed through partnerships range from recruiting of staff to benefit take up campaigns.

Partnership working helps Benefit Services reach the wider community, providing help to vulnerable groups using other agencies networks and contacts.

Attendance Allowance Campaign

This Campaign encourages people to claim Attendance Allowance – a benefit for people aged 65 and over, who have difficulties managing their personal care. We can send you an application form and arrange for someone to visit you at home to help you with the form. If your benefit is refused we can help you ask for the decision to be looked at again, and go with you to an appeal if necessary.
