Working with Business Link in the West Midlands, Dudley MBC is pleased to be able to offer a series of short workshops to raise awareness of self employment as a potential route to a new economic future for people in the Borough.
It doesn't matter if you are employed, un-employed or in full or part time education these workshops are open to anyone aged 16+ male and female.
Working for yourself isn't for everyone but for some the rewards and the flexibility self employment can offer make it an attractive alternative to mainstream employment. For some this may include converting something they may really enjoy into a profitable income.
The programme of workshops looks to build awareness of self employment and to encourage more local people to access publicly funded start up advice and support through the Business Link network.
Workshops include :
Awareness of self employment and starting a business
Confidence Building
Assertiveness
Business communication
Personal Skills
Identifying skill requirements
Enterprise games and challenges
Testing business ideas
Signposting to relevant support agencies
These workshops are completely free of charge so if you are interested in taking part please contact Justin Haywood as below.
If you are a community group or voluntary organisation and you would be interested in hosting a workshop for your members or clients or just finding out more about them we would be delighted to hear from you.
