REGARDING LIQUOR LICENSING - STOURBRIDGE TOWN CENTRE
At a meeting of the full Council on 16th October 2006, the Special Policy regarding the Cumulative Impact in Stourbridge Town centre was approved. Dudley MBC Licensing Policy
The Licensing Policy is a document that sets out how Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council will carry out its licensing function for the next three years and how it proposes to uphold the four licensing objectives and other initiatives at local level. The Act makes provision for this policy to be the subject of consultation and the list of consultees is attached at Appendix B of the doument. The Council will review this policy at least every three years and consult on any proposed revisions.
Background
A special meeting of the Stourbridge Area Committee was held on Monday 3rd July 2006, 7.00pm at Stourbridge Town Hall Crown Centre Stourbridge, to discuss the initial proposals in respect of the possible introduction of a Special Licensing Policy designed to limit creation of future Licensed Premises in respect of Stourbridge Town Centre. The Meeting was to enable consultation to take place with Ward Councillors, Licensees, Business Representatives as well as members of the public.
Following the Consultation a decision was made at a special meeting of the Licensing & Safety Committee, Monday 21st August 2006. The decision can be found in the Minutes from that meeting.
