The Council has established a cross Directorate Group to look at issues relating to brownfield and contaminated land.
This group will:
- Provide a corporate and co-ordinated approach to all matters relating to brownfield and contaminated land.
- Produce a Brownfield Land Action Plan.
- Produce a corporate contaminated land policy.
- Produce a revised and improved Contaminated Land Inspection Strategy.
A number of task groups have been established to look at a range of topics including: communication, a Brownfield Land Action Plan, Contaminated Land Inspection Strategy, Supplementary Planning Documents, data capture and information management, and dealing with eyesore sites.
