Invest in Dudley borough and be part of sustainable development projects totalling more than £1.5 billion(€2.1b) over the next ten years. Dudley borough, situated in the heart of the Black Country, is a haven for private sector investors thanks to a truly innovative regeneration programme. The renaissance of its strategic and local centres, Brownfield sites and an array of historic and conservation visitor attractions make Dudley an attractive location for investors.
Eight sites in Dudley town centre are available for immediate development. They total £270m (€378m) worth of development projects and will be connected to the region’s proposed Metro light railway system. They provide 60,200 sq m of retail, commercial and office space along with the provision for more than 1,000 new homes. Each site is set in the shadow of Dudley’s picturesque castle and a short step from the world famous Wren's Nest Nature Reserve.
Area Action Plans for the towns of Stourbridge and Halesowen are planned to start early 2008 and Brierley Hill is in the process of development. Brierley Hill alone has the potential to deliver £890m (€1.246b) of retail, commercial, office and housing developments that will also be connected to the region’s proposed Metro.
All major developments exploit the borough’s unique heritage and conservation tourist attractions including the Seven Sisters limestone caves, Dudley’s Canal Trusts and Black Country Living Museum. New developments totalling £100m (€140m) are proposed for Castle Hill and Zoo, and 10 acres of land are available for immediate development at Castle Gate.
Invest in a borough that’s well equipped to sustain your development project.
