Where can I register my baby's birth

You must register the birth in the registration district in which your baby was born. (If your baby was born in Russells Hall Hospital, this can be either Dudley Council Plus, Dudley Register Office or Stourbridge Register Office.) If it is not convenient for you to visit the register office for the district, you can go to any other register office in England or Wales to make a “Declaration of the Particulars”. In that case, you will receive any birth certificates you need and the form FP58 so you can register your baby with a doctor, by post.

To prevent unnecessary waiting for you, we use an appointment system.  It is unlikely that we will be able to see you if you come without an appointment.

To make an appointment to register a birth please telephone

Dudley Council Plus on 0300 555 2345

Lines are open from 8am – 6pm on weekdays and 9am – 12 noon on Saturdays.
