Gornal Wood crematorium was opened in 1960 and is administered by Dudley
Council. Set amongst delightful landscape grounds Seasonal Gardens of
Remembrance, the Crematorium buildings are of a modern design but every
effort is made to retain a friendly and pleasant atmosphere.
The council is a member of the
Federation of British Cremation Authorities
and complies with the strict code of practice, which determines the
necessary high standard of crematoria. We are members of the
Confederation of Burial Authorities. At present we are also working
towards the “Charter for the bereaved.”
