The memorial trees are pre-planted within the Seasonal Gardens of the Crematorium.
The engraved plaque is available in either a silver colour with black writing or black with gold colour writing. A small motif of a flower or tree can be chosen to complement the inscription. The plaque is fixed on a “woodland” stump.
A tree can only be a memorial for two people. For the second person, the original plaque is removed and a new plaque is made to commemorate both people. The right to place a plaque besides a memorial tree is for a lease period of 10 years. We accept responsibility for the tree’s care and attention including free replacement if necessary.
Please be aware that the trees are located on the communal seasonal gardens where cremated remains are scattered now and will be in the future.
Motifs
For Memorial Tree applications at Gornal Wood Crematorium a small selection of motifs are available that can be added to the plaque, to complement the inscription.
If you would like another motif, please supply a good quality clear image and we will do our best to accomodate your requirements.
It is advised to do these applications in person so that it can be established if there is enough room available on the plaque for the motif to fit, and to ensure that you are happy with the final look of the plaque.
