Message from the Leader of Dudley Council to the Muslim community
It gives me great pleasure to offer the Muslim community my warmest greetings on Eid celebrations, marking the end of fasting during the month of Ramadan.
I understand the day of Eid symbolises, pity, patience and godliness. Socially Eid reminds us of the noble human feeling to share festivities with the poor, underprivileged and neglected from all faiths and non-faiths.
Celebrating Eid together is a time to realise the concept of inter-faith harmony across communities and a commitment to build a cohesive and peaceful borough and world for all.
I hope this day will be a joyful occasion for all.
