Regulations

The 1994 Marriage Act and the Civil Partnerships Act 2004 allow Dudley MBC to issue a licence for marriages and Civil Partnerships to be solemnised in buildings within the Borough approved for that purpose by the Council.
 
 

How to apply

The application form with all relevant information can be downloaded from the foot of this page, or it can be requested from the Licensing Office using the Contact Details box below or an application can be made Online using the Service Request Form link below.
 
 

Fees

Grant/Renewal = £1700.00
for each additional room £75.00 
 
 

What happens if my Licence Circumstances change?

This is covered in section 3 of the application form pack. The licence holder will be responsible for informing the Superintendant Registrar and the Licensing Office of any change which will affect the licence, such as change of use or name of Approved premises, change of Licence holder or any material change to the licenced rooms or environment.

The office is open from 9.00am to 5.00pm daily. Applicants are seen by appointment only.
