Can I change the birth record at a later date?

Under certain circumstance it may be possible to change the details or add to the information recorded at the time of the original registration. Leaflets on how to register a birth or re-register a birth are available for download in pdf format below.

Deaths

Can I change the death record at a later date?

Each entry in a death register is an historic record of the facts as they were at the time of the death. If errors are discovered in the death register, the law may allow for details to be changed or added.

Marriage

It is possible to correct a marriage record at a later date?

Each entry in a marriage register is an historic record of the facts as they were given at the time of the ceremony. If errors are discovered, the law may allow for details to be changed or added.
