A £30 million transformation is under way in Halesowen to breathe new life into the town.
Vale Retail, Centro-WMPTA and Dudley Council are working together to deliver the exciting plans to build a better Halesowen.
The 18-month project is due to be completed by Christmas 2008 and will make the town an even better place for people to visit.
The regeneration will see:
a new 73,000sq ft Asda superstore trading on two floors of Hagley and Queensway malls.
A new £3.5 million state-of-the-art bus station with high quality waiting areas with electronic doors, CCTV, electronic information displays with up-to-date timetable information and a new attractive entrance canopy.
A replacement multi-storey car park with almost 600 spaces, an increase of 50 per cent, with improved disabled access, security and lighting.
Approaches to the Hagley Road/ Queensway roundabout have been widened to allow safer access to the car park and ease congestion.
All partners are committed to the multi-million-pound project. However, with regeneration projects of this size, there will be some disruption, but we ask shoppers and businesses to bear with us as the partners work together to build a better Halesowen for us all.
