The by-election has been called in the St Thomas's ward to be held on February 16.

Councillor Glenis Simms, who represented the St Thomas’s Ward resigned her position as a councillor for the ward in December.

Poll cards will be delivered to households from 20th January giving information on people’s nearest polling station and how to vote.

If you have moved recently you may not be registered you have until 31st January to register.  Registering is quick and simple and can done be at gov.uk Register to Vote  you will just need to have your date of birth and national insurance to hand.  For further information on voting and registration contact the Electoral Services team on 01384 814740.

The timetable of events and notice of election have now been published.

The list of candidates will be available from Monday 23rd January 2017.

The Notice of Election Agents will be published on Friday 20th January 2017. 

The situation of polling stations will be available from Monday 16th January 2017.

The Notice of Poll was published on 8th February 2017.
