Bowling Green, Dudley Tenants and Residents Association (TRA)

Bowling Green Logo

We are a group of dedicated people who are committed to improving the area we live in for everyone.

We meet on a regular basis and welcome anyone from the Bowling Green area along to the meetings. If you can't come to the meetings why not support your community in other ways? Give us your comments, opinions and thoughts about how we can change things for the better.

Community Help-Line

The TRA have a dedicated phone line (answer machine) which local people can call to raise concerns or issues that they may have relating to the Bowling Green area. This service is very well received and the response and support has been excellent, to date we have dealt with over 6000 calls . If you wish to contact the Helpline you can ring 01384 831304.  The phone-line is kindly sponsored by Virgin Media.

Good News Stories:

Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA)

The MUGA was officially opened by Councillor Bryan Cotterill on 6th August 2008, it is located on land adjoining Netherbrook Primary school and is used by the school during the day and is open to the public after school closes, this project was a real partnership success.

Partnership Working:

The TRA are working in partnership with Probation Services to improve the look of the Bowling Green area. They are working with the TRA to clear overgrown, litter infested forgotten patches of land, the spaces are being cleared of rubbish and overgrown plants and shrubs to reveal a clean and well kept plot, this is really helping to improve the look of Bowling Green.

The group also work closely with our Housing Manager and Participation Development Officer, they give the group the support we need to move projects forward. We have an excellent working relationship with the Police and have a thriving Neighbourhood Watch Scheme in the area.

Food for Thought:

Bowling Green TRA work with local primary schools and other local TRA's to deliver food parcels to the vulnerable within our local communities. We are hoping this will be another successful year for this fantastic initiative.
