Why have a customer feedback procedure?
The Council tries to provide high quality services to the people of the Dudley borough. There are times when things are done really well, but there may be times when things go wrong and you are left unhappy or dissatisfied with the service provided. In both cases, we want to hear from you and this helps you do this.

How to give feedback
Write to or telephone the directorate concerned using the information below. If you wish to provide feedback online, please follow the appropriate link from the directorate list below. Alternatively you can download a Customer Feedback form in PDF format, which can be printed, completed by hand and sent to the appropriate Council directorate (see bottom of page).

If you are not sure which directorate to contact, please call the main council switchboard on 01384 818181.

With a complaint, you may find that the member of staff who deals with your problem is able to sort it out at once or is able to put you in touch with someone else who can.

If you would like to call in to discuss a problem, please try to make an appointment to make sure that an appropriate person is available.

If you do not wish to complain yourself, someone else can do so on your behalf.

If you feel you need advice and support in making a complaint, your local councillor will be glad to help. To find out how to get in touch with your local Councillor, contact your nearest library, call the main council switchboard on 01384 818181, or check the council’s website at http://www.dudley.gov.uk.

What will happen to your complaint?
We will contact you within 5 working days, either to respond or to acknowledge receipt of your complaint.

In the latter case, we will give you the details of the person who is dealing with your complaint and contact you again within 20 working days to tell you the result of our enquiries. If it is a complicated issue it may take longer than this to resolve, however we will continue to let you know what is happening.
