Statement of Accounts - 2008

Dudley’s Statement of Accounts for the financial year ending 31st March 2008 were signed by the auditors on 30th September 2008, and are now published by the Director of Finance.

The Statement of Accounts follows the Statement of Recommended Practice for Local Authority Accounting 2007(SORP).

The main statements included in the accounts are the Income and Expenditure Account, the Statement of Movement on the General Fund Balance, the Statement of Total Recognised Gains and Losses, the Balance Sheet and the Cash Flow Statement. These are supported by supplementary statements:- the Housing Revenue Account and the Collection Fund.

In addition there are the following items:-

An Explanatory Foreword
The Summary of the 2007/08 Financial Year
The Statement of Accounting Policies

The Annual Governance Statement, describing the financial management process, is published with the Statement of Accounts.
