Short courses - mandatory training required for providers of CQC registered social care services.

If you are providing a social care service in the Dudley borough and are required to train your staff in certain mandatory topics the cost of the course will be met by the council. However, if your staff book onto a course and fail to attend you will be charged a non-attendance fee.

If you are not a registered CQC social care provider but wish to access these courses there is a subsidised fee per person for each course. Please contact us for more details.

  • Food Hygiene
  • Handling & Administration of Medicines 
  • Health & Safety in Health & Social Care
  • Moving, Handling & Hoisting of People
  • Risk Assessment for Care

Other social care short courses

There is a subsidised fee of £35 per person for each of the following courses. This will be charged whether or not you are a CQC registered care service.

  • A Positive Approach
  • MRSA / C diff awareness
  • The principles of good record keeping

Adult safeguarding training

All adult safeguarding training is provided free of charge. However, if you or your staff book onto a course and fail to attend you will be charged a fee.

QCF (Qualification Credit Framework)

This QCF programme of study is important in supporting workers in developing their knowledge, skills and understanding in the areas of dementia care, mental health, learning disabilities and autistic spectrum conditions.
