We have made real progress that we can be proud of. Our social care service has top 3 star status from the Commission for Social Care Inspection, our housing services was awarded top 4 star status from the Audit Commission as part of the council’s Comprehensive Performance Assessment, our libraries performance has improved against the Public Library Standards and our adult learning provision has improved as recognised by OFSTED.
We are also a recognised Investor in People employer. Our recent assessment commented that the 'strength of commitment and management development, partnership working, mutual trust and teamwork of individuals within the directorate is of a very high level and is an undoubted strength.’
The inspector went on to say in his report that these staff can truly be described as exceptional people who give the directorate a special “wow” factor feeling.
Dudley’s adult, community and housing services is committed to the learning and development of all staff, to be effective in responding to the challenges we face in all areas of our work, and to our continued development in improving the services for Dudley people.
