Tuesday 27th March 2012 – Nominations open for Candidates after publication of Notice of Election
Wednesday 4th April 2012 – Noon close of nominations
Tuesday 10th April 2012 – Noon Publication of Statement of Persons Nominated
Wednesday 18th April 2012 – last day for applications to be included on the register of electors in order to vote in the election
Wednesday 18th April 2012 – 5:00 pm last day for requests for a new postal or to change or cancel an existing postal vote or proxy appointment
Wednesday 25th April 2012 – 5:00 pm last day for new applications to vote by proxy (except postal proxies and medical emergencies)

Information for Electors
Elections are scheduled to take place in all 24 wards of Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council on Thursday 3rd May 2012.
If you are a British, Commonwealth or European Union Citizen you are entitled to vote at these elections as long as your name is correctly included on the Register of Electors. To check your registration please contact Electoral Services on 01384 814741.
There are currently 2 vacancies on the council in the Kingswinford North & Wall Heath ward and Wollaston & Stourbridge Town ward.
Elections to fill these vacancies will be held on Thursday 3rd May 2012
The deadline for registration to enable you to be able to vote on 3rd May is Wednesday 18th April 2012

Poll Cards will be issued to all electors by Tuesday 3rd April 2012, giving details of polling station locations. The hours of poll will be from 7:00 am until 10:00 pm.
Poll cards will also be issued to all postal voters, if you have previously applied to vote by post or proxy and now find that you are able to get to the polling station, the postal/proxy vote can be cancelled, this must be done in writing before5:00pm on Wednesday 18th April 2012.

If you cannot get to the polling station on election day you can apply for an absent vote:
This means you will need to complete a Postal Vote application form to enable you to vote by post.
Applications to be received by no later than 5:00pm on Wednesday 18th April 2012.
Postal Ballot Packs will be issued during the week prior to the election.
If you are going to be away at that time you may wish to appoint a proxy to vote on your behalf, please complete a Proxy vote application form.
Closing date for receipt of completed proxy appointment forms is 5:00pm on Wednesday 25th April, 2012.
