Since 2008 The Dudley Local Involvement Network (LINk) in Dudley has offered anyone living in the borough the opportunity to influence local health and care services they, or their families, receive.
However, as a result of changes proposed in the Health and Social Care Bill the Government has decided that as from October 2012, LINks will be replaced nationally by local HealthWatch organisations.
That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get involved in LINk’s now though – just the opposite in fact.
This is a very exciting time and a time of great change. We need as many people as possible from a wide cross section of Dudley’s 306,000 residents to help shape inform and support the next phase of community involvement and development in relation to heath and social care provision in Dudley.
And in the run up to October 2012, the LINk still needs to hear about your experiences of health and social services too, as well as your ideas for improvements or changes.
It has the power to implement small changes and influence big changes we cannot stop moving forward together.
