Funding for qualifications
National and local funding opportunities to support qualifications change regularly. Funding streams, national and local priorities have to be considered and reviewed continually as some funding criteria can be quite complicated. It is more helpful therefore to give general information on who to contact for current advice at any time.
Funding for qualifications for levels 2 and 3 for current childcare practitioners
If you are currently working, or volunteering on a regular basis, in a registered childcare setting within the Dudley borough and are interested in undertaking a relevant qualification, you are advised to contact your training provider to discuss funding opportunities with them.

Funding for levels 4 to 6 for current childcare practitioners
The government has pledged its commitment to supporting development of a graduate workforce by providing the Graduate Leader Fund (GLF) which is currently available until March 2012.
Dudley is using the GLF to support experienced childcare practitioners with accessing relevant foundation degrees, many successful students will then go on to achieving Early Years Professional Status (EYPS).
The full criteria and application forms for 2011/2012 are attached below.
Settings who are already supporting Graduate Leader Funded students will need to complete the Graduate Leader Fund continuation of funding application form.
Settings applying for the first time will need to complete: Graduate Leader Fund New Application form. The staff they would like to support must also complete an employee details form and a training provider form.
The closing date for applications is Thursday 30 June 2011.
Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
