Dance and Drama Taster Sessions
We have introductory dance & drama taster sessions to give you the chance to experience each of these art forms without having to commit to a larger project.
Many organisations, schools and colleges would love to spend time and resources on Arts projects within their establishments, but are unsure as to whether the subject matter would be suitable for their, class size, topic etc.. DPA offer dance and drama taster sessions to overcome this uncertainty and to introduce a different way of thinking about arts education into new environments.
Please call Sue Duffield on 01384 813904 for further details.
DPA Working in Partnership
We promote professional arts companies and artists through a partnership between ourselves, Black Country Touring and Stourbridge College.
Example promotions include working with: World Muzik Makers, Drumlove & Essential Khatra.
We also work in partnership with organisations for the development of the Arts such as:
Dudley Community Dance Consortium, Black Country Touring, Stourbridge College, Dudley Voluntary Services, Community Education Division, Dudley College, Artezine, Himley Hall and Park, Local Youth & Community Centres, Schools, Dudley Arts Status Schools, Dudley Arts Council, Arts Council England, & Regional Arts Lottery.
If you would like your organisation to become a partner with DPA, please call Claire Starmer on 01384 813943.
Mentoring Programme
DPA offers a Mentoring Programme for new and developing artists trying to access work related training.
It can be extremely difficult for young and developing artists to gain the necessary experience and qualifications to enable them to fulfil their goal as a working artist. DPA have created the Mentoring Programme which lets developing artists follow a trained professional in their chosen field, such as in dance or drama. DPA are also encouraging young and developing local artists to live and work in Dudley.
For more information on this programme, please contact Maggie Lewis at DPA on 01384 813904.
