How it works
1. We propose a model agenda
2. The governing body through the chair or the head will modify this agenda by adding one-off or standard items which they always want to be included, and notify the clerking service of this
3. We keep a record of all such agenda items
4. The clerk sends the minutes of the meeting to us within 2 weeks
5. We then forward to the chair for amendments and confirmation.
6. The minutes are sent out with the next set of calling papers
Buying additional services
In the new financial year, Governing bodies normally decide to purchase one of the three levels of clerking service:
A
B
C
A number of governing bodies hold a second full meeting of the governing body each term. There is a misconception that such a thing can exist as an unclerked meeting of the governing body.
Of course every such meeting must be clerked. A governor may not perform this task except in emergency. Some governing bodies make their own separate arrangements for this.
The clerk appointed through our service can clerk additional meetings.
