In February 2007, Dudley's independent School Organisation Committee approved proposals to close Cradley High School with effect from 31 August 2008. Current Year 11 pupils will leave as normal in 2007. Year 10 pupils will complete their education at Cradley High and leave in 2008. Pupils in Years 7, 8 and 9 transfer to other schools in September 2007.
