Dudley Schools’ Library Service provides high-quality advice, support and resources to schools and other educational settings, assisting them to improve achievement and raise standards, and promoting reading for enjoyment.

Our aims are to:

promote reading and learning as a valuable and enjoyable activity

assist schools to develop and extend pupils’ reading abilities and skills
support and enhance the quality of teaching and pupils’ learning experiences in Dudley schools
assist schools to improve achievement and raise standards, particularly in Literacy

We offer:

loans of books and other resources
Literacy support
activities to promote reading and extend pupils’ reading abilities/skills
professional advice and practical help in the development, organisation and management of school libraries/resource centres
other professional support and development opportunities
