Loans
Resources are loaned on a half-termly or termly basis.

Project boxes
These consist of approximately 20 books and may include other materials such as photo packs. They can cover most National Curriculum areas and topics, and are tailored to individual needs.
Fiction boxes
These boxes contain approximately 20 mixed fiction titles, and may include a mix of genres (e.g adventure, humour), authors and books of interest to both boys and girls. Boxes can also be made to match more specific requirements e.g books for encouraging boys, books with a low reading age.
Literacy boxes
Literacy boxes can be compiled to support the teaching of specific genres e.g instructions, reports.
Author boxes *
Author boxes contain around 20 books by an author and may also include other material e.g biographical information about the author, activity sheets.
Big books *
We have a large collection of big books suitable for shared reading, including both fiction and non-fiction titles.
Share-a-sets *
Share-a-sets consist of class reading sets of 20 copies of the same fiction title. We have an extensive and wide range available, covering a variety of authors and genres.
Listen-and-read sets *
These sets are composed of 6 copies of the same fiction title plus an accompanying cassette/CD.
DVDs/videos *
We have a collection of DVDs/videos which can be loaned for half a term, covering both fiction and non-fiction.

Costs
We are a Traded Service for all Primary and Special schools via earmarked funding, ring-fenced, to be spent on the Schools’ Library Service only. The individual requirements of Secondary schools can be negotiated and special offers are featured in the current Traded Services document.
Delivery and collection
All resources are delivered to and collected from schools by our regular free van service. If you have finished using resources before the collection date (on the box), please ring us and we will arrange collection. This will enable us to loan the resources to other schools.
Visits
Teachers and other school staff are most welcome to visit us to browse and order resources (please ring to arrange this). If you would like to hold a meeting here, or work or plan during your PPA, NQT time or other planning time, we can also provide a complimentary room (subject to availability). Staff meeting time/INSET day visits to find out more about our services and resources may also be possible. Please contact us for further details.
