Dudley Local Development Scheme

The Local Development Scheme (LDS) sets out a timetable for the production of Dudley's various different planning policy documents (known as 'Local Development Documents') that collectively make up the Local Development Framework. It will tell you what the current 'saved' planning policies are for Dudley and what new planning policies are going to be produced. This timetable covers a 3 year period in detail with some indication of work likely to be undertaken after the three year period. It sets out the key stages for producing planning policies including the times at which communities and stakeholders can have their say and influence the production of those policies.

Dudley's first Local Development Scheme came into effect in July 2005 and a revised version was published in February 2007. Since that time it has been necessary to make some changes to the documents being prepared and, as such, a new Local Development Scheme for Dudley came into effect in March 2008. This document is available to view at the bottom of this page.
