On 18th March 2009 Dudley Council adopted its revised Planning Obligations Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) as part of the Council’s Local Development Framework.
In accordance with best practice following the first year of implementation the SPD was reviewed, in order to ensure that required planning obligations continue to be reasonable and realistic, and to enable regeneration to be delivered within the Borough. The review has also enabled additional clarification to be incorporated on the contributions that are required, along with further guidance on the way the Council expects the policies to be applied in particular circumstances or areas.
The draft revised Planning Obligations SPD was prepared, accompanied by a revised Sustainability Appraisal, and taken out to public consultation for a 6 week period between 19th January and 2nd March 2009.
During this consultation a number of responses were received and which, through analysis, have been broken down into separate issues. A number of the comments made within these representations have been incorporated into the SPD as amendments to the text. A summary of all the responses received, the Council’s response and any amendments are detailed in the Consultation Statement which can be viewed at the bottom of this page.
