DD6 Access and Transport Infrastructure
 
DD6  ACCESS AND TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE
 
The Council will require that all development:
 
  • is appropriate in scale to the existing transportation infrastructure of the immediate area and transport corridor or includes measures to overcome any deficiencies;
  • makes adequate and safe provision for access and egress by vehicles, pedestrians and other road users;
  • makes adequate provision for the loading and unloading of commercial vehicles where appropriate; and

Implementation
 
  • Through the Development Control process, and the use of planning obligations.
 
Monitoring
 
  • New improvement measures that are associated with development and off-site mitigations such as public transport subsidies.
