DD14 ADVERTISEMENT CONTROL
 
The Council will resist the erection of any advertisement which is substantively detrimental to the appearance of the building or land on which it is displayed, or to the visual amenity of the surrounding area, or is prejudicial to public safety.
 
The Council will also require that any advertisement display has regard to the safe use and operation of any form of transport.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Implementation
 
  • Through the Development Control process.
  • Through surveys of selected areas of the Borough to identify unauthorised advertisements.
 
Monitoring
 
  • Number of complaints.
  • Results of surveys.
