Block 10 - Mill Race Lane South

This is currently a modern industrial estate fronting the River Stour with open space to the rear forming part of the Stour Valley and an area of underused public car park.

Little change is envisaged but any long term redevelopment should exploit the opportunities offered by the River Stour and strengthen the pedestrian routes both along the Stour and through the site, linking the residential areas to the north-east, with the Town Centre. Access and servicing will continue from Mill Race Lane.

Preferred uses in this block will be B2 General Industry and B1 Light Industry. Acceptable uses are B8 Storage and Distribution. Office development is considered more appropriate within the Town Centre.
