Air Quality

All of the borough is within a smoke control area therefore all combustion appliances must burn smokeless fuel or the appliance must be approved to burn other fuels within a smoke control area. The most recent monitoring results from Dudley may be viewed on the joint West Midlands Air Quality website.

Asbestos

Asbestos may be found within the home or within the workplace. Asbestos-related disease can be caused by breathing air containing asbestos dust. It is responsible for the highest number of work-related deaths.

Consultation on Caparo Aluminium

Caparo Aluminium Technologies Ltd (The Company) operate an aluminium foundry process from their site at Sunrise Business Park, High Street, Wollaston, Stourbridge. The Company have applied to the Council for a permit to operate such a process under national pollution legislation.

Pollution Control

A public register of prosecutions is maintained detailing details of prosecutions and formal cautions issued in the last three years, in accordance with the Environment and Safety Information Act 1988.
 
Please bear in mind that some offences may not come to our attention for some time and could have been committed many months ago. The business may now be trading legitimately, presenting no problem to consumers.
