Asbestos in Workplace / Industrial Premises

 

The Environmental Protection Team address asbestos issues where they involve a workplace or industrial premises where no one is working, i.e. abandoned & derelict premises.  For operational and occupied industrial or Commercial premises where asbestos issues arise the initial contact should be Food and Occupational Safety, see contact details at the Commercial premises link.

 

Environmental Protection will locate an owner and then serve an abatement notice on the owner to get any material containing asbestos cleaned up and disposed of correctly.
