Resource efficiency and recycling

There are a number of organisations who can help local businesses to become more resource efficient, reducing the amount of waste produced and saving money. Dudley MBC does not offer a trade waste recycling service, however, there are local companies who can offer recycling services for items ranging from office waste to construction or agricultural waste.

Netregs

NetRegs is a free resource provided by the environment agency. Businesses in the Dudley borough can find their nearest waste site according to the type of waste they are looking to dispose of - making it easier to dispose of unwanted items responsibly.

WRAP

WRAP (Waste and Resources Action Programme) provide a similar service along with various guidance documents on setting up recycling schemes and case study examples.

Envirowise

Envirowise offers free, independent support to businesses helping them to become more resource efficient and save money. Since 1994, Envirowise has helped UK industry save more than £1 billion by reducing waste early on in their business processes. Advice is also available on managing unavoidable waste and working with suppliers to maximise gains from beginning to end.

NISP

NISP (National Industrial Symbiosis programme). Industrial symbiosis brings together companies from all business sectors with the aim of improving cross industry resource efficiency through the commercial trading of materials, energy and water and sharing assets, logistics and expertise. NISP works with businesses of all sizes and from all sectors.
