Black box / Kerbside Recycling Collection

Fortnightly collections of paper, cans and glass are made from all properties with ground floor access.  Boxes should be placed on the edge of your property, next to the pavement (please take care not to obstruct traffic or pedestrians).

Top tips:

Avoid identity theft by shredding papers containing personal information. To help prevent the shredded paper blowing away, it should be placed in carrier bags for recycling.

Due to a change in the way the directory is made, Yellow Pages can now be recycled in the black boxes.

Cardboard can be taken to the civic amenity site in Stourbridge, or added to your home compost bin.

Food & drink cans must be rinsed clean. Try and use left over washing up water.

If you have more recycling than will fit in the box, excess cans and paper can be put out in any suitable container. Black bags should NOT be used as our operatives can't see what's in the bottom of the bag and it may be mistaken for general rubbish. Glass bottles and jars must be contained within the box.

Please wrap up broken glass safely and throw away with your general refuse.
