Here at the Wren's Nest NNR we have full time staff and volunteers that help to maintain the Nature Reserve as a recreational resource for the local community and visitors alike to enjoy.
In 2006, we celebrated it's 50th anniversary as the UK's first ever Geological National Nature Reserve by holding a variety of celebrations and events to mark the occasion. Further information can be found by reading the web pages within this section.
Wren's Nest now has several trained volunteer walk leaders who are able to offer pre-booked groups guided walks, fossil hunts and opportunities to view the Seven Sisters Caverns on weekend dates'. In the first instance, all bookings must be made via Anna Coward, Senior Warden to agree provisional dates verbally that must be followed up with a standard booking form to confirm the booking. Please telephone the Senior Warden on 01384 812785 to arrange this.
