Borough residents are now able to benefit from an addition to the existing green waste service.
We have added to our already popular green waste collection service, by offering additional chargeable green bins to those residents who have a need to dispose of more green waste.
This is an optional service and the money it generates will be put back into the maintenance of the additional demand on the vehicles and equipment.
How much does an additional bin cost?
The additional bins, which can be differentiated from the standard bins provided by the council by having brown lids, can be purchased for a one off fee. An additional annual fee for the collection of the extra waste will be charged.

Households that have bags rather than green bins
Some properties have bags rather than green bins due to factors such as the location of the property. If you use bags rather than a bin you can still request the additional colection service.
Second bags can also be purchased a one off fee, and the standard annual fee for the collection of the extra waste will be charged.

Can I start the service part way through the year?
With the scheme starting part way through the collection cycle a special rate of £30 for the collection of the extra waste will be charged, which will cover the period from September to November 2011.
From February 2012 the full annual charge will apply.
When does the Green Waste Service run
The green waste service runs from February to December each year.
Can I keep my service if I move house?
Yes, if you move home you can transfer the collection service to your new property and take your additional green bin with you.
How do I pay for the service?
The fee for the cost of the additional bin or bag and the collection fee is payable upon placing the order at Dudley Council Plus.
You will be sent a payment reminder from then on for subsequent years around December/January time.
