Dudley Council is committed to protecting vulnerable adults in the Borough from abuse, ill-treatment and exploitation. Abuse can take many forms such as physical, sexual, emotional, neglect or financial, and can take place in many different settings.
Dudley Council, with its partner agencies in the Dudley Safeguarding Adults Board, has produced policy and guidelines set out in the document called Safeguard and Protect.
All employers and employees are required to act in accordance with Safeguard and Protect and act on any information that comes to their attention which gives reasonable grounds to suspect that a vulnerable adult had been, is being or could be abused.
