Dudley Carers Network

This is a mailing list that enables us to build up a picture of caring in the Borough and keep carers informed about what is going on in the Borough.

Network information in English and other community languages.

Carer's Allowance Leaflet

With the help of the Benefits Shop we have produced a leaflet to help carers decide if they can claim Carer's Allowance. The flowchart in the leaflet will help you decide if you can claim but you may need further help to decide if you should claim. The leaflet tells you where you can get this help. The Carer's Emergency Card

Carers who live in the Borough or care for someone who lives in the Borough can apply for a

'Carer's 'Peace of Mind Card'. You do not have to belong to the Network to be eligible for this card.

The Options+ Leisure Card

Members of the Network are eligible for the Options+ Leisure Card. Note that many carers will be entitled to the Options+ Card already as they are on Carers Allowance or another qualifying benefit.

The Dudley Carer and The Dudley Carer...Guides

Members of the Network receive this newsletter and the accompanying factsheets. The newsletter is produced 3 times a year.

Advice Line

We do give signposting advice and information to carers by phone or email. Telephone the Carers' Co-ordinator on 01384 818723. Currently this service is offered Monday - Friday between normal office hours. We have an answer machine which always indicates when there will be someone in the office. You can also email the Carers Co-ordinator
