When there is a risk of family breakdown, a Support Worker will work with the child and family with the aim of keeping the child or young person at home. When parents need particular help with developing parenting skills, we also have a residential family unit which does assessments of children’s and families needs, so we know how best to help. Our Child Protection Support Services Team provides help to children and their families after there has been an assessment which shows they need some additional help.
