Services for children and families
We are committed to safeguard and promote the welfare of children in need, ensuring that they achieve the best possible life chance outcomes.
We are here to offer services and support to some of the most vulnerable children and young people in our community. These include children in care, children with disabilities, and victims of abuse.
We also support their families and carers, as well as young people who are themselves caring for someone else, such as a parent, a brother or sister or a grandparent.
We can also advise where young people can go if they need help, for example, regarding bullying, feeling depressed, getting into trouble with the law, drugs and alcohol, HIV and Aids, sexually transmitted diseases or pregnancy.
We work with local health teams, Connexions and the voluntary sector as well as our colleagues in Youth Offending Team, Education, Housing and youth services; so if we can't help, we probably know someone who can.
