  • Community transport
  • Externally procured taxis and coaches

What does Social Care Transport do?

Day Facilities

Transport is crucial for people to get to day service facilities or to attend community activities. Therefore, the early morning and late afternoon are the busiest times of the day, with a door to door transport service provided for people using day facilities. Our customers are people living in the Dudley Borough who have been assessed as needing a service. The four main groups of customers are people with:

  • mental health needs
  • learning disabilities
  • physical disability and sensory impairment
  • older people

If you would like to obtain more information regarding Day Services please email the district office concerned.

Delivery of Meals on Wheels
During the middle of the day meals are delivered to people in their own homes who have been assessed as needing a service. Along with the WRVS and Catering Services, the Social Care Transport Service is part of the team that delivers the meals.

If you wish to obtain more details regarding the Meals on Wheels Service please and email the district office concerned.
