CompProc

This is how our complaints procedure works...

You have the right to complain about...

  • A service
  • Lack of service
  • An assessment
  • A plan, or a decision... affecting you, your child or someone close to you.
The complaints procedure works in stages.

STAGE ONE- The Informal Stage
You discuss your complaint with the person providing the service or their manager. They will do their best to sort it out.

STAGE TWO - The Formal Stage
If you are not able to sort the matter out at stage one, or if you wish to make a formal complaint, then complete a [complaints compliments comments form] or contact the Quality & Complaints Team on 01384 813068.

Your complaint is investigated by a senior manager. If you are a child, or complaining about a service to a child, then an independent person from outside the Local Authority will also be involved at this stage.
We aim to resolve all complaints within 28 days.

STAGE THREE - The Review Stage
If you are still not satisfied after stage two, then you can ask for your complaint to be considered by a Review Panel.
