Everyone with a learning disability should be registered with a GP. 

 

Everyone should have a Health Action Plan which explains how your health needs can be met.

 

You should be offered a health care check on a regular basis

 

Community Nurses in the Community Teams for Learning Disability can offer advice and support about any health problems you may have.

 

We have a speech therapist in Dudley who works with people with a learning disability to make information easier for them to understand and to help them to improve their communication skills.
