Occupational Therapy

The Occupational Therapy team can help elderly and disabled people through assessment, advice, information and the provision of equipment and / or adaptations to their homes.  In many instances the assistance requested can be provided quickly although non-urgent requests or major alterations to property can involve delays.  Staff may need to visit people in their own homes or it may be more practical to assess people at our Disabled Living Centre in Netherton.  The centre has a permanent display of equipment for assessment and demonstration.  Equipment is supplied via our integrated Community Equipment Service which serves both health and social services delivery, collection, cleaning and storage needs.
