"The Social Work Team for the Hearing Impaired aims to significantly contribute to an improved quality of life for Dudley's deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing population, to achieve their full potential and have an equal chance, as well as right, to be included as full members of society."
Social work service for adults and children
A confidential social work service is available for assessment and care management. Services for children also include the Dudley deaf children's youth club for deaf and hard of hearing children.
Trouble hearing the doorbell, TV or telephone
Following assessment our Technical Officer is able to provide some specialist equipment or advice and guidance on the following:-
Doorbell systems
TV amplifiers
Minicoms
Loop systems
Baby alarms
Resource Room
Equipment on display and public information including magazines and videotapes, CD Roms on Deaf and Deafblind issues for loan or reference.
