Food Licences
The Council issues a number of licences in relation to our food hygiene related functions. Specific information about different licences can be found in the pages below.
Game Dealers: If you trade in game you will need two licences to operate within the law.
Registration of Food Premises: Most businesses serving food should be registered with the Local Authority.
Since the 1st January 2006 certain licences within this section has been superceded by the requirement under European Legislation for the Approval of Food Business Premise handling Foods of Animal Origin. These licenses include Butchers Shops, Dairy Products, Meat Products Premises and Minced Meat Premises.
