Rapid Response Service

Adult Care Services is able to offer a 'rapid response' home care service. The aim of this service is specifically to avoid hospital or care-home admission in an emergency situation. Following assessment, care at home and a short intensive night sitting service (SINS) can be provided for up to 72 hours. This allows for a period of assessment, for emergency situations to stabilise or for planned, rather than emergency, admission to hospital or a care home. Assessment for this service can be requested by G.Ps and district nurses working closely with carers and social work staff.
