Day Care
Day service provision can be accessed directly through Age Concern and other voluntary organisations or can be provided following an assessment by a Social Worker.
Day care for older people promotes independence and helps to prevent social isolation. A wide range of activities are available at centres or people can pursue their own interests with support from staff. Assistance with personal care needs can be offered. Specialist day care services are available for older people from black and minority ethnic groups and for people with health related needs.
